Here’s the deal: we buy the best beans we can get our hands on, we sample everything constantly, tweak everything constantly, obsess about roasting to bring out the sweet spot in every bean, and also try to make the world a little bit more awesome. Our coffee is fully tuned to bring out the origin of the bean and will never taste charred or “roasty!”

Our Story

We went crazy about the coffee, and it was good!

We used to drive around in a van, playing rock in little clubs, art galleries, parking lots, and basements throughout the land. We drank coffee, but it was usually pretty rough stuff. We wised up and learned about how exceptional coffee could truly be. We started roasting our own beans in a modified toaster oven in the kitchen. We bought great beans and got great coffee! It was intense, flavorful, and fresh, and had no sign of the roasty burned taste sold at the big coffee stores. We found that we didn’t need milk or sugar; the coffee was naturally totally sweet.

We got passionate about learning what it takes to get that kind of taste in the cup: cultivation, elevation, harvest, processing, shipping, storage, roasting, and preparation. When every step is in harmony with the others and perfectly executed, you get the aWEsoME fresh coffee. We got crash courses from our favorite formidable roasteries. In 2009, we settled in our homeland of Harrisburg, PA, and bought a little commercial roaster and several hundred pounds of the best beans we could source. After lots and lots of time doing business stuff and taste testing, we were ready to go. The rest is/will be history!
